You sit your car behind the car in front. The car in front will break the air - and your car will benifit by traveling through the broken air. (This is using the Draft).
You need to be pretty close usually.
This is usually close enough to be pinged for ‘tail gating’ by the cops though.
This is also called “Slip Streaming”.
